Features File Map

Add To / Subtract From an Area

Click on a feature in the features list and then click “Draw”, or open the map page and click in the area you wish to edit.

The selected area is highlighted. Other areas in the features file are shown in grey for reference.

There are two draw modes:

The default mode is Add / Edit. Click on a drawing tools icon (at the bottom of the box) to start drawing. To end drawing, click on the icon again; this will complete your shape.

When you complete drawing, the shape you draw will be added to or subtracted the selected area depending on the mode. You can change the mode by clicking Cancel in this dialog.

The shape you add or subtract cannot affect other features, so any area overlapping others will be ignored. When adding, only the parts of areas outside of all features will be added and only the parts of areas inside the selected area will be subtracted.

In this example, the part of the area to the south of the highlighted area will be added as it doesn't infringe on any existing areas. In subtract mode the part of the area currently within the selected area would be removed from it.

Merge Areas

Click on a feature in the list and then click “Merge”, or open the map page and click in the area you wish to edit.

All feature areas are shown with the selected area highlighted.

Click each feature area you wish to merge with the selected feature. When you click OK and confirm, all merged areas will be added to the selected feature and the merged features will be removed from the features file.

Point Locations

Click on a feature in the list and then click “Draw”, or open the map page and click in the point you wish to edit.

Click in the map where you wish it to be moved to. Click ok to confirm the new poisition.
