Each features file has the following settings:

• Name
• Alias - important to identify export/import features files
• Notes - more detailed internal information about the file
• As Overlay (areas only) - may this file be selected as an overlay
• As Features - may this file be selected as a set of features

Id and Title Properties specify which of the file's property fields are designated as its unique id and the field to be used as its title. Property fields are loaded with a GeoJson and may be added manually as you require (see below).

For an areas file that is available to use as features, select a fill pattern for the areas. This will be used to fill the areas with background colour in a pattern. Click on the edit icon next to the Fill Pattern heading to show the available patterns on the right side. Click to select a pattern.

For a points file, select a map marker icon for the point. Click on the edit icon next to the Icon heading to show the available icons on the right side. Click to select an icon.

If you have selected a template icon (which is colour settable) you will have the option to let fPanels use the default colour, or select a colour from the Colour Picker. Be careful when applying colours as most maps use colour for data so introducing too many other colours can confuse the presentation.
