The optional dashboard Message shows as a popup over the dashboard after the primary data has been loaded. It may be made conditional upon values in the data and the message and heading may also contain values from the data.
This is useful to provide important information to users for a specific dashboard or as opening information shown in you primary dashboard.
Note that that the message is shown after the primary data has been loaded. Note that this does not prevent display of the dashboard and so must not be used as a security measure.
The content of the message is entered using the HTML Editor. This means that you can format the content and include elements such as links to guide the user.
The heading text and colour may also be entered.
If the message is to be shown every time the dashboard is displayed, check the “Always Show” option. Otherwise, enter Value 1 and Value 2 (using placeholders) and select the way in which they should be compared. If the values are to be compared other than as text, select the format: Number, Date/Time of Boolean (Yes/No). The comparison options are:
The comparison must result in “true” for the message to be shown.
