A Scatter Chart visualises the relationship between values in two dimensions.

Select the fields that identify the values in the panel's data:

• Name - represents the series. Records with the same value will be grouped together as a series; if none is selected, all records will be grouped together.
• X - the field that has the values on the x dimension at the bottom of the charts
• Y - the field that has the values on the y dimension at the side of the charts

An option allows for the drawing of the chart to be animated. This draws attention to the panel, especially if it changes due to filters.

The chart plots all records on an X/Y grid of values. Different values of the Name field are shown as different series and so different colours.
