Account Theme

The Theme designer lets you specify aspects of the appearance of outputs generated by fSeries.

Note that the designer and admin pages are not affected by the theme, only the user pages such as fPanels dashboards.

Colour Palette

The section to the right of the page is the colour palette. You can set the default colour and sixteen other colours. These may then be selected within the theme and throughout the designers where a colour may be specified (e.g. dashboard panel headings).

Click into a colour entry and enter the colour value or choose from the colour picker (which will popup automatically). The eraser icon may be used to reset to the default colour. If you change the colour from the default the name entry will be enabled and you can give it a new name.

It is advisable to match your colours to the default names. If, say, red has already been used as a highlighter and you change the colour to black and rename it “Black” the highlighter will still be using that colour definition and so will become black. Match your palette as much as possible to the default names, editing names only for clarity or codings from your branding guide.

Font Family

Enter one or more font family names to override the default Roboto font throughout the user pages.

Heading Image

An image may be uploaded which will be shown to the left of the heading bar in fPanels dashboards. You should limit the size of the image file for speed of loading, but in any event the image display size will be restricted to 500 x 100 pixels.

Start Image

An image may be uploaded which will be shown in the centre of the default user start page.

Colour Sets

Colours for buttons, alerts and modal (popup) headings will be set by default but you can set them from your colour palette by dragging and dropping one of the colour squares to the right into the set. Use the eraser icon to reset to default.

Chart and Map Colours

The default colours applied to charts and maps are based on the palette but excluding the default colour and the monochrome colours.

To change the colours used and the order in which they are allocated (e.g. to lines or points), drag and drop colour squares between the In and Out boxes. Use the eraser icon to reset to default.

This is important as it is advisable to ensure maximum colour contrast between points so make the highest contrast between the earlier ones in the list. Most charts and maps will probably only contain a small number of colours so making sure the higher contrast are used first will improve the appearance the charts and maps.

Custom CSS

You can upload a CSS file that will be applied to augment the generated theme CSS. This is useful to make adjustments that are necessary for your design, for example to add a coloured bottom edge to the heading bar.

Office Theme

If you have a MS Office theme that you use for documents it may be uploaded here for it to be applied whenever documents and spreadsheets are generated.

The document designer may override the office theme for specific documents.

Reset

Click this button to reset the entire theme to the default settings. This cannot be undone so a confirmation is requested before proceeding.

Import

Click this button if you have a theme exported from another system. You will be asked to select the import file to be imported. This cannot be undone and will replace your entire theme.

Export

Click this button to export your theme to use in another system, or to save your theme for safety. NOTE: If you have specified an Office Theme this will NOT be included in your export file. Use the option next to the Office Theme selector to download a copy of the theme whic may then be added to your new fSeries Theme when imported.

Save

It is recommended that you save frequently while editing your theme. The changes will be applied immediately.
