Select the data required from a data group in one of the DSD sets. You can leave this until later.

Depending on the type selected, some options will not be available

The Layout Box option lets you specify the box into which the panel is displayed. If you enter a box name (a default will be provided), fPanels will warn you if it is an existing box (which may be used already by other panels). If the name does not already exist, an appropriately sized box will be created to the right of all others when the panel is created.

Alternatively you can select a box by clicking on the icon to then right of the entry box; this will popup a representation of then layout. Click the box you wish to use.

Give the panel a unique Id. This may NOT be changed after the panel has been created.

You can also give the panel a heading at this stage although it may be changed in the Panels Texts page.

Some panel types require a “Referred Panel”. these are :

  • Details
  • Filter Panel
  • Range Panel

Select the panel to which this panel refers.

Connected Map is required for a Map Overlay Filter panel. Select the map panel which this panel filters.

If the panel type is “Chart”, select the required chart type.

Click “Add Panel” to create the panel. You will be taken to an appropriate next page based on the type if panel created.
